<span aria-live="polite" class="fbPhotosPhotoCaption" data-ft="{"type":45,"tn":"*G"}" id="fbPhotoPageCaption" tabindex="0"><span class="hasCaption">THIS SINGH IS ALMOST THERE...<span class="text_exposed_show"><br /> <br /> Film: <a href="http://www.punjabifilma.com/2014/01/first-look-disco-singh-2014.html" target="_blank">Disco Singh </a><br /> Director: Anurag Singh<br /> Cast: Diljit Dosanjh, Surveen Chawla,<br /> Manoj Pahwa, Upasna Singh, BN Sharma,<br /> Karamjit Anmol, Apoorva Arora <br /> Rating: ****<br /> <br />
 Since, Anurag Singh has created a brand with Jatt & Juliet, it is
expected that he will only rise with every next film and he proved too
with Disco Singh. So, here comes his Disco Singh, starring his golden
boy Diljit Dosanjh, Surveen Chawla, Manoj Pahwa, Upasna Singh, BN
Sharma, Karamjit Anmol and Chandan Prabhakar<br /> <br /> Unlike the other two films, Jatt & Juliet and J&J 2, Disco Singh thrives on comedy that comes from situations.<br /> <br />
 Anurag Singh known for his characterisation has given every character a
 complete form. The director takes full charge of his subject and does
justice to it. He doesn't leave any loose ends,and gave his best. The
dialogues and screenplay are in place, giving ample scope to laugh. The
film has been shot in Delhi, which definitely makes it look different
from other Punjabi films. The film has a lot to offer after the first
half; in fact this is when you see a good deal of the actor Diljit
Dosanjh, who is definitely the man of the moment. Diljit is always a
delight to watch, armed with an amazing comic timing and an 'impish'
charm, this actor has nailed every moment of the film. Diljit handles
every scene effortlessly making it look real. All the other actors in
the film, whether it is the pretty looking Surveen Chawla, her designer
dresses or Manoj Pahwa in the don avatar or Upasna Singh running on the
weighing machine sipping cola has done a fine job. Amidst all this, it
is BN Sharma dressed as transvestite and behaving like one, hasn't been
cashed on well.<br /> <br /> Some scenes in the film are very well executed
and the film makes you laugh from beginning till end. It has some lovely
 foot-tapping romantic songs. In the end, don't forget the two ways to
be happy, it would help you enjoy this film at least. <br /> </span></span></span></div>

<span class="userContent">Bollywood directors, including Anurag Basu and Harry Baweja, among others, have descended on the Punjabi heartland to direct <br /> movies in their own ishtyle… <span class="text_exposed_show"><br /> <br /> <a data-hovercard="/ajax/hovercard/page.php?id=104089876293562&extragetparams=%7B%22directed_target_id%22%3A0%7D" href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/Anurag-Basu/104089876293562">Anurag Basu</a>…it

releases April 25, has worked extensively in Bollywood. "One thing
remains the same; whether it is a Hindi film or a <a href="http://www.punjabifilma.com/2013/12/punjabi-filmsmovies-release-in-2014.html" target="_blank">Punjabi movie</a>,

mentor for assistance on his film Mitti Na Farol Jogeya. "I have learnt a
 lot from Anurag Basu; in fact he motivated me to direct a film. So,
Punjabi it had to be," shares Avtar, who has treated the whole film in a
 way he has been taught <br /> <br /> Partho Ghosh, who will soon be out
with his directorial debut Punjabi film Teri Mere Ek Jindari, starring
Nav Bajwa, has much to say. He, however, doesn't count his film any
different from the Punjabi films being made. "Language was the only
problem, but for that also we had a translator on the sets who
accompanied us till the dubbing.</span></span><br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Starcast of Munde UK De 2</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
After the announcement of Babbu Mann's Baaz yesterday, here's another good news for Punjabi Cinema. Legendary director Manmohan Singh returns with Jimmy Sheirgill
 for the sequel to their superhit film Munde UK De (2009). They both are
 coming together after 5 years although Manji (short for Manmohan Singh)
 introduced Jimmy Sheirgill with his 2005 film Yaaran Naal Baharan.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
The shooting of Munde UK De 2
 is starting today and it will release later this year or early next
year. From the original starcast of Munde UK De, Neeru Bajwa and
Gurpreet Ghuggi are returning whereas Binnu Dhillon is the latest
addition in the starcast.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
</div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSiwoAyW0yFx-tcMvpk8HlkKFJCUvxP1XuIxVBMep0PDmD1RpV2EAQqU5oL-IotOCp29CBebOdwuGm6yzgboG5W5RBIACcgYTSbmuX9z59YfEa10_9GiA1JUtMhCNqRDNssMhqkT249pA/s1600/Neeru+Bajwa.jpg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSiwoAyW0yFx-tcMvpk8HlkKFJCUvxP1XuIxVBMep0PDmD1RpV2EAQqU5oL-IotOCp29CBebOdwuGm6yzgboG5W5RBIACcgYTSbmuX9z59YfEa10_9GiA1JUtMhCNqRDNssMhqkT249pA/s1600/Neeru+Bajwa.jpg" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Picture posted by Neeru Bajwa along with the confirmation of the film</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; color: red;">
<b>Both returning together after major professional failures</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Although Munde UK De 2 will be seen as one of the most awaited Punjabi
films but both Manji and Jimmy Sheirgill's recent failures cannot be
ignored. Manji after giving several hits with Harbhajan Mann and Jimmy
Sheirgill went on to make Ik Kudi Punjab Di (2010) and Ajj De Ranjhe
(2012), both of which didn't do well with former still managing to be a
semi-hit. Similarly, Jimmy Sheirgill's last release Rangeelay was an
average fare too.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; color: red;">
<b>Second Manmohan Singh-Jimmy Sheirgill film to have a sequel</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Punjabi Cinema hasn't seen too many sequels so far but whatever they
have so far seems to be showing a liking towards Manmohan Singh-Jimmy
Sheirgill films. Their Yaaran Naal Baharan saw a sequel too, although
the film bombed a couple years back (it didn't have anyone from the
original team except the producers). Here's hoping Munde UK De 2 sees
worldwide success like Jatt and Juliet 2.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; color: red;">
<b>Is Harbhajan Mann-Manmohan Singh film next?</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Now, the next big question is... whether Manmohan Singh will also turn
back to his former protégé Harbhajan Mann. Both of them together have
given some of the biggest blockbusters in the history of Punjabi Cinema.
 The word out there is that, they will be working together very soon and
 if this happens, Manmohan Singh, Jimmy Sheirgill and Harbhajan Mann
will be back in full form (fingers crossed!).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
